Privacy Policy

CoinWhisk ("we", "us") runs the website coinwhisk.com and the CoinWhisk Android app. This policy explains what happens to your information when you use them. In short: we don't ask for your name or email, we don't use cookies or third-party trackers, and your watchlist stays on your own device.

1. Information we don't collect

CoinWhisk has no accounts or sign-ups. We do not ask for, collect, sell or share your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, precise location or payment details.

2. Information stored only on your device

To remember your settings, CoinWhisk saves a few items in your browser's local storage on your own device:

This information is never sent to us. You can delete it at any time by clearing the site's data in your browser settings or by uninstalling the app.

3. Market data from CoinGecko

Prices and charts come from CoinGecko. Our server fetches them from CoinGecko and passes them on to you, so your device usually doesn't contact CoinGecko for price data. Coin logos load directly from CoinGecko's image servers, and if our server is busy your device may fetch prices from CoinGecko directly. In those cases CoinGecko receives standard technical information such as your IP address and browser type. CoinGecko's handling of this information is covered by the CoinGecko Privacy Policy.

4. Hosting and server logs

CoinWhisk is hosted by Hostinger and delivered through its content delivery network. Like almost every website, the servers automatically record basic technical logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested and time of request) to keep the service secure and working. These logs are used only for security and performance and are kept for a limited time.

5. Visitor statistics, cookies and advertising

CoinWhisk counts visits with its own simple, privacy-friendly counter. When a page loads, it records the page address, the website you came from (if any) and your device type (mobile, tablet or desktop). To count unique visitors without cookies, it combines your IP address and browser details with a random value that changes every day, and turns them into an anonymous code that can't be reversed. Your IP address itself is never stored, the daily random value is deleted every day, and the anonymous codes are replaced by a simple total once the day is over. If your browser sends a Do Not Track signal, nothing is recorded.

CoinWhisk does not use cookies, advertising or third-party tracking tools. If this ever changes, we will update this policy first.

6. The Android app

The CoinWhisk Android app shows the same website inside a secure Chrome window (a Trusted Web Activity). It does not request extra permissions and does not collect any additional data. Your use of Chrome is covered by Google's own privacy policy.

7. Children

CoinWhisk is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

8. Your rights and data deletion

Because we don't hold personal information about you, there is normally nothing for us to delete. Your on-device data can be removed by clearing site data or uninstalling the app. If you have any privacy request or question, email us at contact@coinwhisk.com and we'll respond within 30 days.

9. Not financial advice

Information on CoinWhisk is provided for general information only. It is not financial, investment or trading advice. Cryptocurrency prices are volatile and data may be delayed or inaccurate.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above shows when it last changed.
